Using disruptive Technologies to facilitate the Ecological transition of the Nautical sector

The TEcoNaut Project course, “Sustainable materials for boatbuilding,” REGISTRATION OPENING.

This course offers training in sustainable materials for boat building and repair. It prepares nautical sector professionals in new lamination techniques using natural fibers and bio-based resins.

As part of the European TECONAUT project, it enables sector professionals to acquire essential skills that not only meet sustainability standards but also enhance their effectiveness and opportunities in the evolving boating industry.

The course is designed for:

Professionals in the nautical sector who are interested in the transition to more sustainable solutions.

Students and technicians of boat construction and repair.

People linked to the maritime industry who want to incorporate environmental criteria into their projects.

What will we learn?
It is a theoretical-practical course designed to introduce participants to the use of sustainable materials in the construction and repair of boats. During the sessions, we will work:

🔹 New sustainable fibers and resins
Work with natural fibers and bio-based resins (bioepoxies), analyzing their properties, advantages, and real-world applications in the nautical sector.

🔹 Practical lamination processes
Analyze and practice lamination techniques suited for these materials, using real workshop exercises to reinforce learning.

🔹 Assessment of the life cycle of materials
Learn to assess the environmental impact of materials and processes, and make decisions based on sustainability.

🔹 Applications to the real nautical sector
Work through practical cases and current examples from innovative shipyards that use these materials in boat construction and repair.
